Vision
The Chunghwa Telecom Group places great emphasis on its innovative incubation business. An “Innovative Incubation Center” was established in 2021 which is dedicated to encouraging its employees to be creative. Our diverse counseling services and motivating business system enable them to fulfill their startup dreams and to create new revenue sources for future growth of the Group in the future.We consider independent research, development, and design crucial when building our engineering, products, solutions, and business models. We create innovative in-house products from the ground up and bring them to the market where they can start to take a share at once.
The Group has successfully incubated Chunghwa Precision Test Tech Co Ltd, CHT Security Co Ltd and Chunghwa Leading Photonics Tech Co Ltd, which has driven the shareholder value of the Group up by a factor of 126. We strive to create more cash sources with potential, and our internal entrepreneurs can enjoy fruitful results and become the pride of the Group!
Innovative Incubation Center
Momentum and Advantages
The Center laboratory is on the Yangmei Campus near the Hsinchu Science Park in the vicinity of Taoyuan, a large industrial city. This allows us to work closely with industry on product development and the implementation of forward-looking technologies. In the Center, close to 1,000 talented R&D professionals and skilled technicians cooperate on projects that share more than NT$ 2 billion each year. The Center serves as an ideal incubation base for innovative hi-tech startups.In addition to the environment, workforce, and facilities offered, we have many committed connections with renowned domestic and foreign companies, startup investment funds, universities, and governments. Expert external industry mentors give us guidance which often includes “external experts’ opinions” and “internal strategic viewpoints” to help us with the implementation of our innovative incubation business.
The Center provides nine professional services, which include the consultant service and talent and technology interfacing; seven value-added services, which include the financial planning platform, and venture capital fund-raising; and four innovative modes, such as the BD Portable Coach, and 360 Degree Consulting resources to meet the comprehensive requirements of the startup and incubation consulting services.
To encourage our employees to participate actively in internal entrepreneurship, the Group provided NT$ 1 million for our internal entrepreneurs for company startups. If any spin-off team passes a joint venture review by the Group, each startup team member will receive 30-month’s salary as incentive as well as options in the new company. In this way our employees can enjoy the fruitful results of the process.
