OVERVIEW

Chunghwa Telecom Labs is committed to integrating technologies such as container management technology, micro-service architecture, CI/CD, and high-availability application services. We have developed a cloud native management platform with Kubernetes (K8s) technology as the core. This platform supports users a friendly interface to construct and maintain their container environment and micro-service architecture, which reduces their workload of maintaining and operating, and enables them to concentrate on the development of the core business. In the future, Chunghwa Telecom Labs will continue to focus on the application and administration of cloud native related technologies. With these technologies, the users can rapidly merge numerous components into their existing or future innovative application services as building lego blocks, to seize market opportunities in time.

APPLICATION STATUS

  • Assist about 30 development teams to introduce cloud-native micro-service architecture, multi-cloud, and multi-cluster services. With the assistance of cloud-native management platform, developers can quickly deploy applications, speed up development and simplify container management related operations.
  • We have assisted many Taiwanese companies to apply native-cloud technology to the Internet of Things, epidemic prevention technology, mobile payment, OTT audio and video, intelligent image identification, and other fields. By introducing cross-cloud high-availability information service management technology and integrating monitoring maintenance management technology, we help customers focus on their own business and achieve high-availability requirements for unmissable data.
  • Chunghwa Telecom Labs also assists government departments to use micro-service service mesh technologies to realize active-active and dual-center application service architecture, adapting to the intelligent grid and national disaster reduction and risk management applications. Finally, it can fulfill the high-level service standards of high availability and uninterrupted service of essential information systems.
