Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories has developed innovative solutions utilizing the Portable Document Format (PDF) as the foundational carrier for documents, combining advanced technologies such as digital signatures, long-term validation, timestamping, third-party authorization, and cloud-based confidentiality signer. These solutions cater to the digital signature needs of both government entities and businesses, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and non-repudiation of data during the process of digitizing documents.

Application Status

Portable Document Signing Technology:Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories has developed digital document signing technology and solutions that comply with international standards such as ISO 32000 and PAdES, providing various digital document signing techniques including certificate signing, encrypted signing, visible signing, image attachment signing, long-term validation (LTV) signing, and timestamp (TSA) signing. These have been applied in government, financial, telecommunications, and other sectors.
Cloud-based digital signing and document validation technology:Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories has integrated multiple identity authentication methods and certificate issuance technology to issue the certificates that comply with the Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL). Our solution enables digital signing and document validation services to be migrated to the cloud, and has been applied to domestic industries for digital contract signing in the supply chain.
API-Enabled Digital Signature Technology:Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories has developed API-based services to integrate with domestic and international electronic document signing platforms, assisting businesses both locally and abroad in conducting digital signatures compliant with domestic electronic signature laws. Currently, this solution has been successfully applied to multiple domestic digital document signing platform providers.
