Overview

Due to the rapid growth of mobile devices and demands for network connections, wireless technologies are also developing prosperously. Additionally, Wi-Fi is crucial in indoor scenarios and is a common choice for converting broadband networks into wireless access networks. In urban areas, combining wired broadband with Wi-Fi is an important solution for poor indoor coverage. In rural areas, where network deployment and maintenance costs are typically higher, combining 5G/4G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) with Wi-Fi provides a quick way to achieve digital convergence provision. We continue to research Wi-Fi-related technologies and standards to align with the worldwide trend in Wi-Fi technology. Furthermore, we adopt the latest Wi-Fi devices and integrate them with wired broadband networks to provide convenient and fast wireless networks and digital convergence services in public, enterprise, and home scenarios.

Application Status

Wi-Fi standard research and devices specifications development:Conduct research on IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) standards such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, as well as certified programs of the Wi-Fi Alliance such as Wi-Fi 4/5/6/7. Assist in developing a variety of Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) device specifications and adopt the latest devices for network integration in order to provide customers a high-quality Wi-Fi experience and digital convergence services.
Whole-Home Wi-Fi coverage technology:Conduct research on mesh Wi-Fi multi-AP auto-configuration mechanisms, antenna enhancement, and integrate them with wired transport technologies including Ethernet, power line, telephone line, and coaxial cable. Develop comprehensive guidelines for whole-home Wi-Fi coverage and conduct research on Wi-Fi performance parameters. Integrate the aforementioned aspects with home Wi-Fi appliance specifications to enhance network performance and user experience during deployment and maintenance.
Public Wi-Fi network enhancement technology:By integrating public Wi-Fi network planning technology with self-developed, high-performance directional external antennas, we have optimized our Wi-Fi hotspot/hot zone network and network planning. This includes iTaiwan public Wi-Fi services, Wi-Fi hot zone planning and enhancement for target sites, and CHT Wi-Fi services, etc.
Mobile Wi-Fi network integration technology:By integrating 5G/4G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) with Wi-Fi devices and leveraging performance enhancement and antenna enhancement technologies, we have completed the deployment of mobile Wi-Fi to provide high-quality Wi-Fi services on high-speed rail, airport MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), and buses, etc.
