INNOVATIVE AUDIO-VISUAL COMMUNICATION
Overview
With the popularity of broadband, both the mobile network and the fixed-line network are also moving towards the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) architecture. The development of audio-visual communication and dual-network integration applications will grow more vigorously. Market intelligence agency MarketWatch estimates that the global IMS market will reach $7.2 billion in 2030.CHT TL engages in IMS communication platform technologies and communication software technologies for smart terminals, and develops innovative applications— Number Masking Service, Cloud Centralized Recording System, Encrypted Communication, and Metaverse Communication—from both the service platform and user terminal perspectives.
• Number Masking Service uses an order-number conversion mechanism to conceal real phone numbers, protecting users’ personal data.
• Cloud Centralized Recording System stores and manages call records on a telecom-grade cloud platform, reducing enterprise deployment costs and improving audit efficiency.
• Encrypted Communication provides strong end-to-end encryption, suitable for transmitting sensitive information securely.
• Metaverse Communication integrates virtual worlds with telecom-grade audio-visual capabilities to support immersive communication scenarios.
We aim to offer trustworthy, efficient, and secure services across both daily enterprise communications and metaverse 3D interactive scenarios.

Number Masking Service Technology:This technology uses an order-number mapping mechanism to mask real phone numbers, ensuring that both parties’ actual numbers remain hidden throughout the communication process while still allowing necessary contact. Based on enterprise dedicated representative numbers and an order-number management system, our institute developed the “SafeConnect” service, which effectively reduces the risk of personal data leakage and subsequent harassment, while providing complete call records and flexible management options. As of 2024, the service has been widely applied in e-commerce transactions, logistics delivery, and food delivery services.
Cloud Centralized Recording Technology:Through a network based and centralized system design, enterprises can record both incoming and outgoing calls without deploying communication gateways, PBXs, or recording box equipment. The solution ensures secure storage, retrieval, and management of call content while meeting requirements for regulatory compliance, information security control, and operational efficiency. It provides centralized call recording management for industries such as finance, insurance, real estate brokerage, securities, and customer service.
Encrypted Communication Technology: End to end encryption ensures that only the communicating parties can encrypt and decrypt the exchanged content. Key technical features include: protection against man in the middle attacks, no need for in person identity verification, support for encrypted voice and video communications, and a multi terminal encrypted communication architecture, achieving both security and practicality. Related patents were honored at the Taiwan Innotech Expo with the Silver Medal (2020), Gold Medal (2022), and Bronze Medal (2023).
Metaverse Communication Technology:Aligned with long term development in the metaverse domain, this technology focuses on constructing an integrated communication architecture that connects cross metaverse platforms with IMS telecom core networks. Leveraging cross domain communication bridging technologies—including WebRTC ↔ SIP/IMS signaling translation, RTP Media Relay, and a virtual–physical number resonance mechanism—our institute integrates telecom grade voice, multimedia, and signaling capabilities into virtual 3D interactive environments to support immersive communication scenarios in metaverse applications.
