With the popularity of broadband, the mobile network and the fixed-line network are also moving towards the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) architecture. The development of audio-visual communication and dual-network integration applications will grow more vigorously. Market intelligence agency MarketWatch estimates that the global IMS market will reach $7.2 billion in 2030. CHT-TL engages in the research and development of intelligent terminal communication software technology and IMS communication application platform technology. We develop multimedia communication applications from both the user terminal level and service system level.

Although there are many communication software on the market. To be able to communicate through those applications, users need to friend one another first. And those software applications can only allow users to communicate within a custom group. For the general public, it is still more intuitive and convenient to use the globally accepted phone number to make and receive calls. CHT-TL uses the IMS communication value-added technology to carry out the research and development of audio-visual communication applications and utilizes AI technology for telephone fraud prevention to bring a more effective, feeling, and intriguing communication experience.

INNOVATIVE AUDIO-VISUAL COMMUNICATION

Application Status

Intelligent Terminal Communication Software Technology:Combining intelligent terminal and communication software technology, develop audio-visual communication software that can run on mobile phones, computers, tablets, door phones, smart speakers and other user terminals. We apply this technology to corporate mobile extensions, smart home intercom system, telemedicine, secret communication, etc. Relevant patents of this technology won the "Silver Medal Award of the 2020 Taiwan Innotech Expo".
IMS Communication Value-Added Technology:In line with network evolution and market demand, IMS technology is used as the basis to develop communication value-added service technologies suitable for new generation fixed-line networks (such as NGN) and mobile networks (such as VoLTE, 5G). In addition to redeveloping numerous existing voice value-added services to align with updated functions and specifications and deploying them on new networks, we also develop innovative video communication applications. Additionally, we utilize AI technology for applications such as phone fraud prevention, number masking services in e-commerce, and related services. Relevant patents were recognized by the "Silver Medal Award of the 2017 Taipei International Invention Show & Technomart" and the "Gold Medal Award of the 2019 Taiwan Innotech Expo".
IMS Communication Application Platform:For developing innovative audio-visual communication services, it is necessary to master the core IMS communication application platform. Hence, we can run value-added service application software on it. Therefore, CHT-TL has engaged in researching and developing IMS SIP application server and media server technology. SIP server and media server followed the JSR 289 SIP Servlet and IETF RFC 3261 specifications, respectively. We establish our technology and master the core key components.
A total of 21 patents have been applied for and certified by 2022.
